This study examines the teaching methods used in classrooms when there are not enough learning materials and how these methods affect meaningful student learning. In many schools, teachers face a lack of basic teaching tools like textbooks, visual aids, and science equipment. This shortage often forces teachers to change how they deliver lessons, which can directly affect how well students understand and remember the topics. The main goal of this research is to identify the creative ways teachers teach when materials are limited and to find out if these methods still help students truly learn rather than just memorize facts. The study collected data from secondary school teachers and students in Lagos State using questionnaires and classroom visits. By observing these teaching habits, the research highlights the best ways teachers keep students actively involved without standard materials. The findings offer useful advice for school leaders, government officials, and teacher training programs on how to better support educators. Certain teaching practices can still lead to successful learning even when standard tools are absent.
