Reviewer Guidelines

Peer review is essential to maintaining the quality and credibility of the Eagle International Journal of Research, Innovation and Health Sciences. Reviewers play a critical role in evaluating submissions and providing constructive feedback to authors. These guidelines outline the responsibilities, standards, and expectations for reviewers.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents. Do not share or discuss them with others without explicit permission from the Editor.

  • Objectivity: Provide fair, unbiased, and evidence-based evaluations. Personal criticism of the authors is inappropriate.

  • Timeliness: Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe. If you are unable to meet the deadline, notify the Editor as soon as possible.

  • Constructive Feedback: Offer clear, specific, and constructive comments that help authors improve the quality of their work.

  • Conflict of Interest: Disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest (financial, institutional, personal, or professional) that may compromise your impartiality.

Evaluation Criteria

When reviewing manuscripts, please consider the following:

  • Originality and the contribution of the work to the field

  • Methodological rigor and accuracy of data and analysis

  • Clarity of writing and logical organization of the manuscript

  • Relevance to the scope and aims of the Journal

  • Proper citation and acknowledgment of sources (APA 7th edition)

  • Ethical compliance in research design, conduct, and reporting

Ethical Standards

  • Do not use any unpublished material from the manuscript for personal or professional advantage.

  • Report any suspected misconduct—such as plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or duplicate submission—to the Editor immediately.

  • Respect diversity and avoid discriminatory or biased language in your review comments.

Communication with Editors

  • Provide a clear recommendation (accept, accept with minor revisions, major revision required, or reject) supported by detailed comments.

  • Highlight both the strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript.

  • Suggest specific improvements in structure, clarity, methodology, or interpretation where appropriate.

Recognition of Reviewers

  • The Journal values the contributions of its reviewers and may acknowledge their service, for example through annual recognition or inclusion in the journal’s reviewer register where appropriate.
