Withdrawal Policy
Eagle International Journal of Research, Innovation and Health Sciences acknowledges that sometimes authors might need to retract a manuscript after submission. These guidelines outline the process, as well as the circumstances under which withdrawals are permitted to ensure fairness and transparency and respect for time spent by authors, peer reviewers, and the editorial team.
1. Withdrawal before peer review
Before peer review, authors can request withdrawal of their manuscript. All requests should be made in writing to the editorial office as soon as possible. The journal does not currently issue penalties.
2. Withdraw during (or after) peer review
In the case of a manuscript that an author wants to withdraw once the review process has begun or for which comments from reviewers have already been received, a clear and justified reason must be stated in writing. Editorial review applies to requests at this point, so not all will be approved.
3. Withdrawal after acceptance or publication
In general once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, or published, there is no allowed withdrawal of the manuscript. And in rare cases — like the identification of significant errors, ethical issues or major inaccuracies — the journal considers making corrections, expressions of concern or a formal retraction while adhering to established publishing ethics.
4. Fees and charges
In line with the journal’s fee policy, authors withdrawing their manuscript once peer review has begun or after acceptance of their manuscript may be charged any administrative or processing fees incurred by the journal.
5. Ethical responsibility
Authors are encouraged to only submit manuscripts when they believe the scientific content is strong and that they should publish. Frequent or unexplainable withdrawals can impact the author’s standing with that journal and may influence how future submissions are treated.
6. How to request withdrawal
All withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing via e-mail to the editorial office. It must include the title of the manuscript and submission ID, and a short explanation for the withdrawal. The journal will confirm receipt of the article transfer request and inform you about the decision in a reasonable time frame.
This policy aims to balance authors' rights and responsibilities with the professional duties of reviewers and editors. Authors who have any questions regarding the withdrawal process should reach out to the journal directly for clarification.
